Colonial Gardens, Colonial Williamsburg, Williamsburg, Virginia

Colonial Williamsburg operates twenty-six of the most beautiful gardens anywhere and many are open to visitors on a daily basis.  The pathways in this garden are lined with oyster shells which are abundant locally.  The flowers and vegetation change with the seasons.

  2. I can never decide if I love Williamsburg more in the spring and early summer months or in the fall. We did a guided garden tour a year or so ago, and it was wonderful.

  3. Wonderful gardens such as these are great things. I can spend hours taking photographs in and of such places. I once did just that during the evening golden hour in a large botanical garden in Sweden. Cheers!

I would love to see a collage or side by side of the gardens in the different seasons!

  7. What a beautiful garden! I love the frame effect on your photo. Growing up near the coast of Georgia, we went often to St. Simons Island. Oyster shells were used in paths, roads and the tabby building material.
