Colonial Couple Taking an Afternoon Carriage Ride, Williamsburg, Virginia

This couple, in full colonial attire, take a leisurely carriage ride down Duke of Gloucester Street in Colonial Williamsburg.  The historic district is restored to its 1770's glory when it was the capitol of Virginia and a hot bed of political unrest as George Washington, Thomas Jefferson and Patrick Henry frequented the area as part of their government service.

  4. If they are in period costume, I assume that they are some of the workers in Colonial Williamsburg, unless tourists show up dressed for the 1700's also.

  8. Fabulous; a taste of home! I've always loved Williamsburg, especially around the holidays. Most of my family still lives in Tidewater and we get back home to Virginia Beach a couple of times each year.
