Bruton Parish Church is a spectacular old church located on Duke of Gloucester Street in Colonial Williamsburg. It was established in 1674. The photos above show the altar, the altar area including the organ pipes and baptismal and a shot from the rear of the sanctuary. .

This looks like an unusual but interesting building. I have seen various styles before but not all in the one place. It looks simple as Naturedigital said and yet ornate. It seems to be a mix of Cathedral, Church and Town hall. This is a good set of pictures to demonstrate the interior.

ReplyDeleteIt is a lovely old church and I especially like that Baptismal font and the Paschal candle. I would love to attend a service there!
