These reenactors intently watch General Washington making his rounds on the parade grounds in
Colonial Williamsburg. The
regimental flag is reflected in each man's glasses.
Ruth wanted to title this post "Adorable" while Darryl wanted the title "Brothers In Arms." As a compromise, we note how adorable these guys are here in the text.

Cool.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if they have people who reenact the British or Hessians and, if so, how they would be chosen. Maybe the new people have to be the Redcoats and after a few years they get to graduate to being colonists. And what about Tories. Maybe if you miss too many of the planning meetings you get assigned to be a Tory.
ReplyDeleteThey are adorable you guys and how clever were you to get the reflections in their glasses, well done!
ReplyDeleteNice capture...I adore Williamsburg Va. Beautiful place n full of interesting history!
ReplyDeleteGoing back, back,back...
ReplyDeleteAt first I chuckled, seeing guys my age dressed as colonial soldiers. But then I was struck by the symbolism of it; the widespread commitment of a people to a cause. When old guys take up arms, there surely is unity among the people. May it also be so in the movement that began as "Occupy Wall Street."
ReplyDeleteA great reflection and photo! I was wondering if there any younger men involved? I hope there is a younger generation intestested also. Hope you are having a good weekend.
ReplyDeleteTHey look so serious!
ReplyDeleteWhat great picture. Much emotion to be felt.
ReplyDeletePlease have you all a good Sunday.
Neat reflection. I think it's great that they re-enact this history, it take a lot of dedication!
