The Cresset In Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia

Whether burning brightly or simply filled with wood and waiting to perform, the cresset is a beautiful addition to any outdoor scene. Hopefully, they will help Santa find his way to Williamsburg.

  1. Learned a new word today...cresset. I wonder if this is a regional tradition since I am totally unfamiliar with it.

  2. This is a new word and a new concept to me, as well. Looks to be something that didn't manage to make the trip across the Blue Ridge! Merry Christmas, Jim

  3. Oh --how I love W'burg... One of these year, we want to be there during December. I want to go to Bruton Parish and hear the Messiah... That is on my 'bucket list'...

Merry Christmas to you and yours.
    Hugs,
    Betsy
