Grand Illumination Crowd, Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia

This photo of attendees at the Grand Illumination in Colonial Williamsburg was taken about three hours before the fireworks, when it got crowded.  This shot is about three quarters of a mile away from the Capitol in the background.  It was a busy day in the historic district.

  1. Seeing a crowd like this gives importance to the event. We seem to be fascinated by bright lights!

  4. I guess there's not many people who don't enjoy a good fireworks display. Great turnout.
