This is the interior of the wheelwright shop which we visited last year in Colonial Williamsburg. You can see the wheels and carriage parts they manufacture by hand for repair and building of the various carriages and carts used in the historic district.
it adds so much to the realism that they do this!
ReplyDeleteOne of the things I love about Colonial Williamsburg is that the old methods and tools are used, whether making wheels, bread, or tapestries. My husband would covet that rack of tools on the back wall.
