A Proper Colonial Garden, Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia

This portion of a garden in Colonial Williamsburg, complete with large wooden water barrels, seems quite proper for the capital city of the largest English colony in the 1770's.

  11. A very colourful bit of the garden. In England gardens tend to be a little more muted. The very brightest colours are not often grown together.

  15. Gorgeous, but something tells me our forefathers wouldn't have used those difficult to make, and important to use barrels in the garden as decoration. Great shot - love the feel of warmth from the sun.
