Urban Farm, Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia

A major contrast to today's way of living is the presence of small, urban farms in the historic district city. There are many vegetable gardens, chicken coops, and fruit trees, but they coexist with pastures of sheep, oxen, and horses, making for an unusual landscape by modern standards. The Governor's Palace, the Wythe house, and many other locations include self-contained farmettes to feed the residents.
