Welcome to an almost daily peek at our beautiful Williamsburg, Virginia which includes the "Historic Triangle" consisting of Colonial Williamsburg -the world’s largest living history museum- Yorktown and Jamestown.
Historic Jamestowne Island provides a nice place for geese to rest along the banks of the James River under the pines and magnolia trees. One was kind enough to pose for us.
Nice photos, those candian geese are everywhere, my Dad who is in his 80s said they were a rare sight when he was a young man and now they are every where.
What a wonderful blog. We lived in the Virginia Beach area back in the 90's. I spent many a day up in Williamsburg and Jamestown and the Pottery! Brings back lots of memories!
Ever since I read Michener's "Chesapeake", I've been in love with geese. We also have quite a flock living at Lake Merritt. They often fly over my house honking away. Love the sound.

Cute! And impressive because of the waves. Wonderful.
I like when they look at you. It makes it seem, as you say, that they are posing.
What neat shots! I love both photos, especially how the goose is looking directly at you in the first shot!
