Jamestown Church is a beautiful renovation of the original colonial era church financed by the National Society of The Colonial Dames of America in 1907. It is built next to and attached to the tower which is the only remaining portion of the 1639 church on Jamestown Island.

Oh I never saw this. How interesting. The exterior doesn't have the classic church look like the inside, but I like it.

I was here myself, a couple of years back. Jamestown is so beautiful.

We love to visit the old churches and sit and think of what it would have been like to worship there and what a place like that meant to the whole colony....
