Wagon Behind the Wheelwright's Shop in Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia

The wheelwright at Colonial Williamsburg fashions wheels for the carriages and carts used in the historic district in the same manner his colonial counterparts did in the 1770's; all by hand. It is tedious, hard but very precise work.  You can watch him, and all of the colonial tradesmen, do their jobs each day.

It may be tedious but it's just plain fantastic that the old trades are still known and practised.

I can't say that I've seen any handsome, ol' wagons like that around Eagan!
