This craftsman demonstrates 17th century ship building techniquest at the Riverfront Discovery area of the Jamestown Settlement in Williamburg, Virginia.
How interesting! Were these shipbuilders highly paid craftsmen, or just considered like factory workers are today? Does this man actually make small parts of the ships?

Interesting! Do they construct ships? Or do they demonstrate the techniques used then? Would be quit a daunting task I would think. Cathy
Such a time consuming process. Double the effort on a hot, humid day.
I enjoy seeing the costumed interpreters working a trade. It is so educational.
