Gyrfalcon at Busch Gardens Williamsburg, Williamsburg, Virginia



This Gyrfalcon is named "Nimbus" and was on display at Jack Hanna's Wild Reserve at Busch Gardens Williamsburg.  The Gyrfalcon can be found throughout the Arctic Circle; is the national bird of Iceland; and, is the U.S. Air Force mascot bird.  The Gyrfalcon is the largest of the falcons and ranges in color from pure white to pure black.
