Raleigh Tavern Workers, Colonial Williamsburg, Williamsburg, Virginia

These ladies just finished their work day and took a rest on the steps of the Raleigh Tavern in Colonial Williamsburg. They are costumed employees of Colonial Williamsburg, the restored capitol city of Virginia at the time of the American Revolution.  The tavern is named for Sir Walter Raleigh.

Amazing that even after work, they appear to still be in character. Probably an easy thing to do in Williamsburg.

All you had to do was write the word "tavern" and I want a cold beer...

This looks like something straight out of "Gone With The Wind"! I expect at any minute to hear Miss Scarlet requesting a mint jelep.

Very colourful but I bet they're glad to get home and put on their blue jeans ;-)
