As tourist bustle along Duke of Gloucester Street in Colonial Williamsburg, they are oblivious to the subtle preparations for cooler weather. Many shops, taverns, and other public attractions use their chimneys as they would in colonial times. The wood piles begin to grow in front of each of these sites.

That is something we don't see here in the city in the tropics !
When I was last in Williamsburg, it was in January and we had lunch in a little restaurant. it had a roaring fire going. SO NICE! I wish I could remember the name...
As we say here the wood make you warm 3 times, when you cut the trea i the forrest, when you cut it into pieses and when you make the fire.
I love a real wood burning fire place, and love to smell it, too. Have a feeling I wouldn't like chopping that wood. Teresa
