Snow and Sheep, Colonial Williamsburg, Williamsburg, Virginia

Sheep gather around the feeding trough in a snowy pasture behind the Peyton Randolph house in Colonial Williamsburg.  Randolph was the Speaker of the House of Burgesses in Virginia in the time leading up to the revolution.

A beautiful winter scene...Despite the snow those sheep look like they are very warm with their thick coats...

Lovely photo, Darryl and Ruth. Do the sheep not suffer from foot disease in the [wet] snow? With all the rain around, our sheep farmers are struggling with this problem called "foot rot". I love your blog and when it appears on my Dashboard I have a quick read, but often don't get to comment. Have a great weekend. Greetings from Jo.

There is also snow there! Those sheep look nice and plump.

I wonder if they sell the wool in the Springtime?

That sort of shot would make it on to a Christmas card for next year.
