This is three different perspectives on the same garden area in Colonial Williamsburg featuring a vine covered fence in full bloom, a trellis and flowers and gazebo beyond the fence.

Your post prompts the question of wondering how many years was it after Jamestown that colonists planted flower beds.

This post must just be sigh-invoking as I was just sighing with appreciation of the beauty of the flowers on the garden fence when I read Mrs. Rabe's comment.

I recognize and love this view. We have spent many happy hours in the Colonial Village.
