King's Treasure At Merchants Square, Williamsburg, Virginia

The King's Treasure souvenir and gift shop, in Colonial Williamsburg's Merchants Square, has been in business since 1919, originally as "The College Shop"   but as part of a unique family story in which the third generation still runs the business. Click here to read about the Wallace family who still runs this and other local shops.

Fantastic family history, it's not that often these days that you find generations staying the same location.

Interesting history. It is surprising that the family is still in the same spot, but they had a good reason to stay.

It's good to know that the history isn't only in the buildings, but also the people!
