Oxen On An Autumn Afternoon, Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia


This pair of oxen in Colonial Williamsburg take a brief break from munching to pose for a photograph. The event did not hold their attention long.

They look like they were caught eating something they were not supposed to be eating. They have strangely shaped horns.

Cattle seem to be able to size up a situation quickly, and just as quickly decide it's not worth wasting their time on. Nevertheless, it's a great photo! Jim
