Colonial Christmas Decorations And Politics, Williamsburg, Virginia

Politics and the deep divide among family and friend at the time of the American Revolution are evident in these Christmas decorations on doors on the same home in Colonial Williamsburg. While they include apples and citrus fruits, the first prominently displays the Union Jack and loyalty to England while the second includes political handbills and the "Don't Tread On Me" design popular with the colonist. It includes a hissing snake above the stark warning.

These are all so very interesting, I don't know if I should be intimidated by the talent that thought these up or inspired to go out and make mine a lot more interesting next year.

Thanks for the wonderful array.
