Peruke Maker, Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia

The peruke maker and barber happily waits outside his shop for the next customer. Keeping the locals stylish and their wigs in good repair made him a very important part of colonial life.  Click here to learn more about the peruke maker/barber.

I'd never heard of a peruke before. A word to research. The barber does indeed look jovial.

Quite a personable looking gent is the current peruke maker/barber! A new word for me too...peruke maker sounds so much more interesting than wig maker!
