Happy Royal Groundhog, Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia
In many places today, groundhogs are being pulled from their dens and given the opportunity to see their shadows to predict if there will be six more weeks of winter or an early spring. This groundhog, who we found in the vegetable garden at the Governor's Palace in Colonial Williamsburg, will not be prodded to prognosticate anything. He appears to be free to munch on a wide variety of veges and grass followed by a nap in the sun.
What a really happy Groundhog Day for him!

Ground hogss look like beavers !
It looks like he gets plenty to eat.
Happy Groundhog Day Darryl and Ruth, most interesting, I didn't know about the tradition of checking the shadow of the groundhog to determine the weather! Love it when i learn something new, thanks. Hope you're having a good week.
excellent for him...LOL!
I sort of guessing since the sun was out the royal grandhog saw his shadow :o)
Have a great day.
Always, Queenie
