The Colonial Williamsburg Visitor Center is the starting point for tourist wanting the full colonial experience. You can purchase admission tickets to the various exhibits and watch a short film about the beginning of the revolution shot in the colonial district. You can then ride the shuttle bus to the colonial district or take the short walk passed Great Hope Plantation to get there.
