The Shoemaker's Helper, Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia

In a tiny shop nestled among other shops on Duke of Gloucester Street, the shoemaker cobbles stylish footwear for his colonial neighbors. He also draws a great number of visitors anxious to see exactly how he does it. This gentleman has the dubious honor of standing outside to check that all those who would enter have purchased the appropriate pass. Walking through the colonial district is free but there is a fee to enter many of the attractions.
