The Capitol tower, with the royal crest, clock, flag and weather vane complete with gold crown, towers over the end of Duke of Gloucester Street. Under its watchful eye, Washington, Jefferson, Henry and others crafted the legislation and words that formed a portion of the basis for the revolution and founding of the United States.
