Grace Episcopal Church And Tree, Yorktown, Virginia

Grace Episcopal Church sits on a high hill above the York River in Yorktown. The parish was established in 1634 and the church built in 1697.  In addition to its history, we are intrigued by the tree in the foreground that grew up both sides of the brick wall.

Wow, beautiful church with amazing tree. It is very old church and so different from Europeans ones.

It's beautiful. Episcopal churches seem to have a certain simplicity to them that appeal.
