Iron Mike, Skyline Drive, Virginia

 
 
At Skyline Drive's Byrd Visitor Center, stands a statue of “Iron Mike,” commemorating the efforts of the Civilian Conservation Corps workers who built the trails, overlooks, and campgrounds during the Great Depression.
