Chippokes Plantation State Park, Surry, Virginia

Chippokes Plantation State Park is about 14 miles from Williamsburg over the James river via the ferry; it's a favorite place to go.  It is a great place for picking up shells, driftwood and beautiful views of the James river.  There are many more photo ops at Chippokes like the plantation house, guest cottages, the farm, and beautiful scenery and wildlife - but here just a few photos we took while walking the beach at the park.
If you click HERE you can web cam view from the Visitor's Center overlooking the James River.
