I missed seeing this when we were there last. I believe their is a brewery nearby. Bob went on a brewery tour.
My wife and I have a weakness for pottery!
I must get back to Williamsburg. I missed this!
Such a beautiful place. So many possibilities. So much to see.

Gosh, this is wonderful! I was wondering if this place was still around. I use to go here for so much.
We lived in Norfolk for 4 1/2 years and Williamsburg was a focus for me as well as Jamestown. I have always loved history and seeing it was fabulous!
Growing up, Lightfoot (that's what we called it) held many fond memories for me. It was a yearly trip we all looked forward to. Back in the 70s and 80s it was dusty, dirty, packed with people, hot and muggy (I still remember standing in front of the huge industrial floor fans to cool off) -- it was an adventure in shopping, amazing and wonderful. You never knew what 'treasures' you'd find. The old Lightfoots is gone, closed down. The last time I was there, a few of the old buildings were still standing and the walkway beneath the old entrance road was still there, but Lightfoots is gone. What they built across the street, it's nothing like what it used to be. Now, it's nothing but another strip mall with outlet stores. They took something so unique, with such personality, and made it ordinary. Honestly, it makes me really sad. I went once and I'll never go again.
