This statue of Thomas Jefferson stands on the campus of the College of William and Mary and was a gift from the University of Virginia for the tercentenary celebration of the school.
President Kennedy once had a White House dinner for Nobel Price winners and he commented that the dinner was the greatest collection of brain power in the White House since Thomas Jefferson dined alone.
