Thomas Jefferson Statue, College of William And Mary, Williamsburg, Virginia




This statue of Thomas Jefferson stands on the campus of the College of William and Mary and was a gift from the University of Virginia for the tercentenary celebration of the school.

What a fitting and collegial gift.

President Kennedy once had a White House dinner for Nobel Price winners and he commented that the dinner was the greatest collection of brain power in the White House since Thomas Jefferson dined alone.

Very nice! It's amazing to think that that college has been there for over 300 years. NOTHING where I live is that old...
