Lady With Carriage, Colonial Williamsburg, Williamsburg, Virginia

This lady about town has her own carriage with bright red spokes and a green wooden chair in place for the seat. A nice rig for a gentle ride through town.

What a delightful way to travel - at least, when the weather's fine.

I love this photo. I spent six years going horseback riding every weekend and the one this I would have loved to learn but didn't was how to drive a carriage!

Oh, I had to look twice to realize that it was the lady driving the carriage. I could see through your side post that it was a lady ;-) The costume threw me. Happy weekend.

It must be a lot of fun to roll through town with a cart like that one! Those are some impressive, red wheels!
