Welcome to an almost daily peek at our beautiful Williamsburg, Virginia which includes the "Historic Triangle" consisting of Colonial Williamsburg -the world’s largest living history museum- Yorktown and Jamestown.
The crepe myrtles are in full bloom with particularly vibrant colors this year. In addition to the beautiful flowers, they have a interesting smooth trunk that gives them a intriguing look. They are a favorite in this area.
These are gorgeous! I could get so much inspiration for paintings in Williamsburg. I visited as a child and have never forgotten it. It must be a great place to live. Thank you for your nice comments on my blog and I'm so glad to meet you! Jennifer:)

I really miss seeing the crepe myrtle lined streets back home. Nice shots.
I can see why they are a favorite, stunning tree, would love one in my garden.
just marvelous!!
I don't think that I have had the pleasure of seeing crepe myrtle trees, and wish that I could. The blossoms and colours are fantastic!

I want a tree like that in my garden. Those colours can fix a rainy day.

We do seem to have particularly pretty crep myrtles here in central Virginia.
They are one of my favorite plants -- and your photos are beautiful!
Nice. I don't think crepe myrtle grow as far north as Connecticut.
I would love to know how they get them to bloom this thick. So very pretty.
Mine just started bloomimg.
