The Godspeed, Jamestown Settlement, Williamsburg, Virginia

The Godspeed is one of three replica ships open to the public at the Jamestown Settlement. Along with the ships they have a fantastic gallery, an Indian village and a recreation of the fort built after the settlers arrived in 1607.

no matter how many times I see them I'm still amazed that people actually came across an ocean in ships as tiny as these! Incredible!

These replica ships are amazing. I can not imagine being on the Atlantic in one of them though. The settlers were very brave people. Great shot, Happy Sunday!
