Patriots At The Capitol, Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia

These patriots paused to chat outside the Capitol in Colonial Williamsburg.  If you look closely at the tree on the left you can see the cable snaking up the trunk to allow overhead lighting or speakers to hide in the branches without disrupting the authenticity of the historic district.

I'm loving the orange trim paint on the building at the rear!

Your photos of historical events are always so realistic; I often wonder how disconcerting it might be to find yourself surrounded by live images of past history?

Living with history. Do you ever wake up, look out and wonder if you are here or there? I would.

Wonderful capture, it does seem very realistic scene as if I was transported back in time. Have a great weekend.

Very cleverly disguised lighting wire, I guess for the people who do the enactments it would be like working on a soap opera, an every day event. and yes I definitely do hate the word verifications!Hope you're having a good weekend.

Interesting. I had never thought of how lighting could effect the authenticity... but of course it does!
