Living at Jamestown Settlement, Williamsburg, Virginia
The buildings at Jamestown Settlement portray life as it was for the settlers between 1610 and 1614. The top photo shows a room with a work area while the lower shows what happens when you leave the doors open for relief from the heat of a Virginia summer. The chicken seemed quite comfortable in the room, which was just large enough for the two beds.

ha ha just imagine the luck of the chicken. :)
Great pics.
When I was in Jamestown, which was about 40 years ago, I remember that there were foundations of the original houses, but I do not remember any buildings. Perhaps these are reconstructions.
The color of the wood is gorgeous!
I love the wood-work in the room..Very interesting to see.
Looks like beautiful craftsmanship all around. It must have been a very different life back then.
It took a moment for me to see the chicken; great picture! I like the woodwork too.
