When the English settlers arrived at Jamestown in 1607, the found Powhatan Indians living in the area. The indian lifestyle was quite different than that of the English. The Powhatan lived in yehakins made of things available in the area such as wood and animal products. It has been some 20 years since «Louis» visited Jamestown. He doesn't recall the Indian exhibit from his visit. Perhaps it was added later.
