Raleigh Tavern Bake Shop, Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia
This is the entry gate to the Raleigh Tavern Bake Shop which is located just behind the tavern. It is one of our favorite places to stop for a snack. They have a variety of cakes, cookies, breads along with coffee, tea, ginger ale, root beer or cider to wash it all down. The Union Jack is the signal that the shop is open for visitors. If Sir Walter was around to taste these goodies, he would be very proud of his namesake.

I visited the shop on one of my last trips to the 'burg. I think it is time to make another trip - when hubby returns! I love wandering the streets of Williamsburg!
I bet they sell a lot of ginger beer in the hot weather that you're having right now. Beautiful crisp shot.
Nicely composed photo.
Looks like a great place to stop!
This photo looks like it could be a postcard! Great shot.
Sounds delicious !
My family and I stop there every visit- great snacks and drinks any time if the year! My kids love it- we even stop by before our trip home for snacks on the road!!
In my opinion, there's rarely anything as honest as bread.
Must be a wonderful place. Please have you all a good Sunday.
How lovely! I can see why this is a favourite of yours.
We stopped there for a cookie and sat on the bench to eat it outside of the shop. Biggest and fattest squirrels around!! Sat right next to you to share your cookie - and we did :-}}
