House Under The Hill, Yorktown, Virginia
This is a restoration of one of Thomas Archer's "Houses Under The Hill." It is built on the original foundation of one destroyed in the fire of 1814. Yorktown is built on a steep hill, so the "Archer Houses" at the river's edge were "under" the hill.

It has a very crisp feeling to it. It stands out so well.
