Fifing In Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia


This fifer, along with the rest of the fife and drum corp, signals the troops to gather to begin their march to meet General Washington in Colonial Williamsburg.

I think they didn't have woman in the corps in earlier times. But now they have the same chances luckily.

I also doubt that women were in fife and drum corps during colonial times, but good for Colonial Williamsburg for being more modern in at least this respect.
